SMT Solder Touch-Up / Rework
Perform a combination of tasks to support the overall manufacture, repair,
and rework abilities of the facility. Repair duties include, but are not limited to,
modifications, upgrades, removal and/or replacements, and inspections and/or tests.
Rework duties include changes on printed circuit card assemblies, cable assemblies
and various electro-mechanical assemblies. Duties may also involve wiring, crimping,
and working with wire harnesses, as well as providing support when needed for overflow
production work within the production area.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 6 months recent related experience in assembly, rework, and repair of electronic equipment including card assemblies and other electro mechanical assemblies under IPC standards.
- 5-7 years experience in electronics manufacturing with IPC-A-610 certification.
- ISO 9000 experience, understanding of ESD procedures, demonstrate ability using a microscope, experience working with formal procedures and supporting documents, knowledge of defect recognition for workmanship requirements, the ability to read/implement rework instructions from engineering change orders, the ability to work from instructions and interpret mechanical drawings, the ability to converse with test technicians/coordinators on technical issues related to rework, and the ability to work independently on complicated tasks.
- The ability to solder thin wires to board components, familiarity with placement of BGAs, QFNs, ICs and various fine pitch SMT and thru-hole devices; experience using and assembling RoHS compliant components; and knowledge of handling and completing detailed and high reliability soldering procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills. Working knowledge of computers.
- Proof of US Citizenship.
- Ability to work overtime, as required.
